IDENTITY Miami

This is yet another huge apartment company taking advantage of hapless college students. The industry should be collectively sued.  After paying rent and a deposit through an auto-debit system for a year, upon move-out, Identity charged us $733 for no known reason. We cleaned our son's room. He never kept animals. And the best part, is when we called to find out why they charged us this exit fee, we could not get an answer, from anyone. The only possible explanation: the tenant before him kept a dog who peed on the carpet. My son spent his entire year at Identity trying to get them to change the carpeting, which they did not. So they (possibly) laid the cost of it on him. If you sign here, watch your back. That's all we suggest.

Living in Identity Miami has been nothing short of a never-ending nightmare. Upon moving in, they were not able to accommodate me with a parking spot therefore I was left to fend for myself for four months. I am a woman I do not feel safe walking alone at night but that’s what I had to do for four months because of  Identity’s mismanagement. After months of begging for a parking spot they told me that I would be able to get one in August, but of course, when August came they still weren’t able to accommodate me because they didn’t have the parking decals ready. I payed $100 for parking the month of August and I wasn’t able to actually park until the very last week. In addition, the unit I lived in was crawling with roaches. No matter how much we cleaned the apartment nothing helped they were EVERYWHERE. It doesn’t surprise me though, given that the bathrooms on the 6th floor and the elevators are always filthy, not to mention, people have a nasty habit of leaving their trash in the trash room instead of just putting it down the chute. Another issue, is the walls. They are paper thin. You can hear absolutely everything, like people talking in the hallways, and even your roommates conversation (even if they speak at a normal volume). Also, the gym sucks they don’t have enough equipment to get a proper workout in and the pool is 4 feet deep at most (I’m not even exaggerating) and the water is always ice cold and it’s always windy (that explains why no one uses it).Do not even bother trying to email management with your concerns because they will never get back to you. But best believe they won’t fail to remind you that rent is due on the 1st! 😊 After living here for 8 months, after watching how management treats me and other tenants, it’s obvious that they couldn’t care less about our wellbeing. They only really care about making profit.

Do not move here. The property manager is the absolute worst and shows zero sympathy. You will waste your money, the rooms are completely disgusting. Roaches coming out of the oven and drains. Serious health code violation!!!

Avoid this apartment at all costs! Living here has been a nightmare. The apartment is infested with roaches—they’re everywhere, no matter how clean you keep your unit. It’s disgusting and unbearable.
To make matters worse, the management is completely incompetent and indifferent to residents’ concerns.
I’ve reported multiple issues that I’ve come across, only to be met with excuses, delays, and false promises. They either don’t care or lack the ability to fix anything. Expect to have to go to the office 20x before an issue MAYBE getting resolved.
ALSO — they IGNORE all emails except those concerning new residents or renewals, so don’t even try.
If you’re considering moving here, don’t. The living conditions are terrible, and the management makes it clear that they prioritize their convenience over their tenants’ well-being. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

Great place to live for students. Units are a lot bigger compared to other buildings. Prices are reasonable and great staff, always willing to assist you with anything

I have had a very disappointing experience with Identity Miami. The administration is extremely unprofessional and rude. They only prioritize people who are close friends with the office staff, and if you're not in that circle, you can forget about getting any kind of proper service. During the initial renting process, they misled me with false information just to get me to sign the lease. Once I moved in, they didn’t provide clear documentation about the conditions and terms they had promised. On multiple occasions, I caught them lying, and their behavior was far from accommodating.
If you’re considering moving here, I would highly recommend being cautious. Make sure everything is in writing and double-check their promises. I regret choosing this place, and I wish I had known about their poor management beforehand.

****EDIT**** If they offer you any amount of money to move into a unit do not believe them. I have had multiple people tell me I’ll get it this day or this day. Honestly I think it’s just a marketing scheme. I understand you are looking for something affordable, I suggest just documenting everything they say to you as I have that way when things aren’t followed through, you have evidence and proof!
As of September 2024-
Honestly I just don’t want anyone to have to experience what we’re experiencing currently, The utter lack of care from the management. Maintenance that simply does not exist. All of that could supplement a two star rating but the entire building is infested with cockroaches and that’s where I draw the line. They are in our fridge and we moved in less than a month ago. This apartment complex is not only disgusting but just lacks care and attention to customer concerns. When you’re paying for 4k per unit the least you can expect is for basic pest control, maintenance to respond to requests in a timely manner, and at the very least for appliances (oven,washer,lights) to be in decent working order. To say I regret moving here would be an understatement, please I beg of you choose somewhere, anywhere else. It’s not worth the headache and inconvenience! If I could show videos this place would most likely get sued.

My experience here has been amazing thus far, especially with the help of Jerry Paine! He is quick, efficient and always has the best interest for us residents. I highly recommend you talk to him. 10/10 customer service ⭐️
