The Current Board has been running the place into the ground since 2018. Dues have nearly doubled in 5 years with a decrease in Resident Happiness and services. Current board has spent $100,000's on junk and personal projects with no owner input:
While failing to obtain proper permits and hire proper professionals to address necessary mandated maintenance projects. We are facing 4th Assessment in 8 years because same board collects money and then spends on things not assessed and uses unlicensed workers without proper permits. During COVID they tried to keep home care nurses out of the building where their clients needed the Nurses, almost all money is spent repeatedly with just One GC who uses other GC licenses. and no proper permits. Movement around the building is restricted for residents, yet undocumented workers come and go and circumvent building rules with Board members complicitly ignoring it.
as of 8/2023 the same 5 people are in office after a duly served recall notice by more than the required number of owners, and continue to spend association money with the same GC being sued by other Buildings in the community. Whatever the purchase price expect $100,000 in additional assessments over next several years if they are not removed.
