This space (where Gordon Park is now) was owned by the city of Miami-Dade. They did not want to keep up the cost to maintain so it was gifted to Aventura Isles on the basis that they turn it into a park for the public. A few months ago, they locked the gate to the public and refuse to reopen. 311 will not file a complaint. This was the only park people around here who have children and dogs could go. There is nothing around here like it for many miles. And definitely no dog parks. It’s unfortunate, no one cares about the people or pets who suffer at the hands of greedy developers. This already devoid of basic amenities area is even worse off now. Shame on Aventura Isles.
