Berkshire Coral Gables Apartments

I’ve lived here now over 3 months so I can say for certain that this is the best building I’ve lived in so far. The management (Simon and Maira) are courteous, attentive and proactive. The common areas are always clean, the community is welcoming and friendly. Lots of families. Any ticket for maintenance gets addressed within the hour. Super happy here, can’t recommend it enough!

This condominium is fantastic! The pool is clean and offers plenty of space to hang out and relax. The gym is well-equipped, with everything you need to work out all body parts. The social room is perfect for studying—quiet, spacious, and comfortable, making it easy to focus. The apartment is bright and airy, with a huge window that lets in tons of natural light and adds to the spacious feel. Everything is in perfect condition, making it a wonderful place to live.

I have lived at Berkshire for 2 years now as I finish school at UM and it has been a great experience. The community is clean and the amenities are perfect for my needs. I recommend this community to any graduate students or anyone looking for a well located community that you feel at home in. A bit shout out to Simon and Alberto and the maintenance team for all their help!

I have lived at Berkshire Coral Gables for 3 years and have just renewed my lease. The team is always on top of the community and they are always there to help. Simon the community manager is very helpful and always has time to help. I look forward to living here another year.

I recently moved in and i had a great experience with Simon and Maira. The service team has been very helpful and the community is always very clean. The amenities are perfect and milams and trader joes are walking distance. I highly recommend this community!

I lived in the Berkshire from August 2023 to January 2025. Overall it was a somewhat ok experience. Pros:
- Maintenance was taken care of quickly, usually within the day.
- Assigned parking. Go for a lower floor if you can. First car is free depending on your lease.
- Quiet. Good insulation from the outside. Inside is less good but acceptable.
Cons:
- Mold problems!!! I changed my air filter every 90 days but practically all of my belongings in the closet (no ventilation) and the drywall near the entry door got moldy. I put Damprid in the closet to no avail.
- Pests. Silverfish coming out of gaps in the walls and trimming. Finding them dead and alive everywhere in random places.
- Elevators were broken half the time, especially the service elevator, which is also always being reserved for moving.
- Pet waste everywhere in the hallways and elevators. People just leave puddles of dog pee everywhere without bothering to clean it up. Management always sends emails saying there will be fines and lease violations for the people doing it but it happens practically every day. Every time I come back home and especially at night I have to watch where I step.
- Packages getting stolen and vandalized. Building policy is that deliveries get left outside your door. Sometimes I came home to empty bags/boxes ripped open and contents taken. You have to secure your packages pretty quickly after they arrive if you don’t want them stolen.
- Don’t use your fob to open the front door at night, because it only unlocks for half a second. Countless times I’ve had to launch myself at the door to grab the handle before the door locks. Forget about carrying anything.
- I didn’t enjoy that the pool is in the ground and enclosed on all 4 sides by the building. It doesn’t get very sunny down there.
Other things that don’t really bother me but might bother someone else:
- The noise insulation isn’t great from upstairs floors or the hallway. I can always hear my upstairs neighbor walking around and dropping things. One time at 3 am I heard multiple bloodcurdling screams in the hallway from a woman screaming for help. I was too scared to investigate.
- Fire alarm goes off mistakenly at least once a month, and always in the middle of the night.
- Despite the no-smoking policy, occasionally the entire hallway smells like weed.
- You have to provide your own shower curtain in the bathroom.
- The monthly yoga classes always got cancelled because of "bad weather" when I moved in, then eventually stopped being scheduled altogether.

Beautiful and quiet building. Love the pool and coffee area. Pool is so peaceful.
