I am a resident of Brickell Heights, and I am using this platform to bring an issue to the attention of the management company. Below, I’ve read numerous comments about unclear fines and what feels like extortion of money from residents for absurd reasons. I hope the management team takes notice of my comment and contacts me, as neither Adolf nor anyone from the staff, to whom we have the option of sending emails with questions, has responded to my complaints or emails. Recently, I was fined $100 for supposedly parking incorrectly near the building. There is a designated delivery parking area for residents to unload their purchases. This parking area was overcrowded, with cars parked in two rows. I parked my car in front of it to unload my bags without blocking or obstructing traffic for other vehicles, and I handed over my keys to the valet. My car was photographed from the side in such a way that it does not show that there were many cars in front of it—at least five. Then I received a fine for improper parking. No one has explained the reasons for this fine or investigated the situation in any way. I sent multiple emails to management to clarify the situation and share my point of view, but no one has responded. They simply issued this fine for something I didn’t do.
This is a blatant disregard for the opinion of a resident. I was scheduled for an online hearing via Zoom, but I was out of the country and unable to attend. Moreover, I do not speak English, which makes it difficult for me to have a verbal discussion with someone outside of written communication. As a result, I, as a resident, was not heard. I believe my rights were violated, and being charged money for something I didn’t do is unlawful.
I sincerely hope that the building administration will contact me regarding this issue.
