I lived at Cascade for a year, and while there are some nice aspects to the building, it does not fully live up to the “luxury” label—especially considering the price. The apartments themselves are well-designed, and the pool area and study lounge are great. The elevators are also impressively fast, which is a nice perk. However, the issues outweigh the positives.
The biggest problem was the constant construction, often right outside my window, waking me up at all hours. Despite this major inconvenience, there was never any compensation. It’s obvious they cut corners to finish this building as quickly as possible, and it shows—especially in areas like the gym, which is way too small compared to the neighboring Core building’s gym. Machines also break frequently, though at least the gym is open 24/7.
The complex is overrun by college students who do not treat the property with respect, leading to a less-than-ideal living environment. While there is always someone at the front desk, they are rarely friendly or helpful. Security is also a concern, as homeless individuals are sometimes directly outside the building entrances.
If you have a family, I would strongly advise against living here. The environment is not family-friendly, and the price is absolutely ridiculous for what you get. While Cascade has some positives, it’s hard to justify the cost given all the issues. If you’re looking for true luxury and a well-maintained, respectful living environment, you’ll be better off elsewhere.
