My parents have owned their condo here going on 25 years now. While it’s a beautiful building on the ocean, the HOA here is a challenge to deal with. Not to mention the exorbitant HOA fees and endless assessments totaling more than $30K in 2024 (a whopping 50% increase since 2022), the association was doing work in the underground parking lot and our deeded parking spot was unavailable for several weeks. They did not bother to provide an alternative parking arrangement, as most other condo buildings would have done. Recently, a pipe burst in the hallway, causing damage to our condo, and the association is not taking responsibility for it. And a few years ago, the management misplaced our cabana, claiming it was damaged by turtles, but failed to provide photo documentation or take responsibility for any wrongdoing there either. We had to pay over $900 for a new one. There are many other instances just like these that make managing a property at the Commodore quite a headache, and not worth the money.
