Edwards Apartments

First off- don’t believe any of these five star reviews. Management gives $5 Starbucks cards out for 5 star reviews. I wish I could give zero stars. We lived here for three years. STAY AWAY unless you want to deal with the following:
ROACHES EVERYWHERE. Once a month management makes you take everything out of your cabinets and closets so they can spray. And the spray does nothing. The building is infested and needs to be burned to the ground.
STOLEN PACKAGES. Even though there’s cameras everywhere, Priscilla refuses to check them and everyone knows you can steal whatever you want and nothing will be done. You need to buy a PO Box if you live here and want mail.
SO MUCH CRIME AND NO 24 HOUR SECURITY. Look at the news. Someone gets shot and killed right outside the doors, all year long- it’s insane! No security and the homeless hide in the building because they know they can and no one will remove them. Just go look at the bench outside the front now… I’m sure there’s someone living on it or dealing weed, because management doesn’t do anything.
SHORT TERM AIR BNB RENTAL. The management rents for one night at a time to horrible people that smoke weed in the elevators, play loud music all night, and trash the community. Look at the Air Bnb reviews for this address. They are horrible.
MANAGEMENT WILL NOT HELP YOU DURING HURRICANES AND TROPICAL STORMS! Our first week there we were hit by a tropical storm which caused torrential flooding in our unit. It was a weekend so no one in the office. No one answered any of our calls including when we called the 24 hour emergency line. All of my neighbors experienced this. They do not care.
THEY WRONGFULLY KEEP YOUR DEPOSIT. We are getting ready to file in small claims court to recoup what they held illegibly. Beware when you move out.
If you like roach infestations, incompetent management, windows that leak when it sprinkles, removing all of your belongings once a month so they can “spray”, and dangerous living conditions… Edwards Apartments is your dream home.

I visited my friend and her husband here a few weeks ago and I was totally grossed out by the amount of roaches I saw. They were everywhere, from the doorway, the bathroom, kitchen cabinets, sink, pipes, corners. The exterminator company management uses does absolutely nothing to deter the problem. They have to wash their plates and cups out each time with hot water and soap before using because of the roaches. This is not sanitary and just disgusting. It’s like living next to a roach nest. The elevator was unreliable and always a long wait. All three of us are wheelchair users, so we had no choice but to wait for it. It kept by passing our floor. My friend has less than 2 months left on their lease and cannot wait to move from this nightmare. The bad thing is they still have to pay rent to live in these conditions. If you’re thinking of moving to this dump because of the location, save your money and find some place else to live. Unless you don’t mind having roaches as your roommates.

Visited my cousin and was totally disgusted. They’ve changed the pest control company and now the roaches are out of control! They’ve raised the rent twice in a year and conditions in the building are awful. She’s complained to management with no results.

I feel very happy here. Good administration and maintenance. They help me with what I need. My apartment is always clean. Thank you so much

Living in the Edwards building is very pleasant, I really have no complaints about anything, because the cleaning is wonderful, the Maintenance staff is responsible and hard-working whenever someone needs them because they are there to solve any problem, just like the management, the location is perfect one block from the beach 🏖, I recommend 💯 this place to live in the heart of South Beach

Living in Edwards has been an amazing experience for me. The managers and people that work in the property are amazing and they always make me feel safe. It is right in the middle of everything so you can walk all around. Whenever you have an issue there is always someone willing to help. I LOVE EDWARDS!

Great place to live
