Was considering renting a unit at this modern, newly developed community but was treated so poorly by the leasing consultant in the office when we were looking for some assistance on a separate matter for my friend who resides in the townhouse community next door. My friend needed assistance with her locked unit in the adjacent community and not knowing anyone in the area, we approached Mayla Pompano asking for a recommendation on anywhere nearby we could source a locksmith or even use a ladder from the workmen who were servicing the community so that my friend could possibly reach her unlocked window up above. The leasing consultant behaved in such an ignorant manner and responded with sarcasm by dismissing us from her office, saying "Too bad you are locked out" and "If you are trying to come up with a plan to get back into your locked unit, you should use your "context clues" whatever that means. Even if the leasing consultant didn't know a locksmith in the area, she could have done the humane thing and run a search for area locksmiths, or called her management to get some ideas to help 2 women without cell phones or keys. Perhaps society has become so lacking in compassion that this is the "new normal" human behavior, but I am certainly not going to consider moving into Mayla Pompano Beach or even scheduling a tour of the community after being met with such a heartless, "too bad for you" attitude. I would not feel safe or secure or that my needs were being met whether in an emergency situation or otherwise. The "We Don't Care" attitude came through loud and clear, and either this is being driven by management and the culture, or they simply have a rude, unprofessional and ignorant employee representing their brand; either way, given how they conduct themselves, this is not anywhere I would ever consider living.
