What an experience! I came with my husba ...
What an experience! I came with my husband 3 months ago to see a unit and we were excited about the opportunity to potentially move here even though it is far away from amenities and we'd be completely car dependent. The original woman who showed us the unit was friendly and helpful. We were waiting for the opportunity to show our parents who arrived from an international flight this week and who are in their 70's. My husband and I arrived and provided ID's on request however the woman at the front desk (different than the first woman) asked for the ID's of our parents. I told them they didn't have them and asked if we could still see the unit since they spend a lot of time here and I would need to make sure it worked for them as there are a lot of stairs. The woman very rudely said "no, we don't show without an ID". I asked to speak to the manager and this woman came out like she was the freaking President of the United States on a power trip saying "I am the Director...blah blah blah and if they don't have their passports, they can't see the unit". I'm sorry but I don't know in what universe, people carry their passports around and what remote risk people in their 70's pose. I even offered to email them a copy of their passports and she snidely remarked "I don't accept a picture, I'd need to make a scan of the original". I'm sorry, a scan is a picture moron. Given her attitude and response, I think Ms. Stick Up her You Know What would be extremely difficult to work with should something need attended to in the unit if we were to move in. No thanks. I'll take my $5,000 monthly rent and go elsewhere. I'm sure I wouldn't have to worry about a cheap pool view and broken machines in other lobbies.
Beware to anyone else who tries to move into this unit. Should you need help from management, they wouldn't be of help.
