The Residences at Sawyer's Walk

I'm leaving this review on behalf of my parent. The staff was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. After completing the application and providing the necessary documents,  it was a smooth transition to move in. The building offers great amenities that are available to all tenants.  Also, the building is located in the best area within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and entertainment. I highly recommend this residence.

Provided and signed paperwork on January 3rd from an Application done in December for my mother.  You call and no one answers. You email and no response.  Truly a shame

My parents just moved there. The staff were very attentive and were very helpful throughout the entire process.  It is a brand new building with great facilities.

SHAMEFUL: RACIST against 62+senior blacks (whose ancestors, free/slave labor built this country; that they love so much.)! Filed a discrimination complaint with the Department of Housing Urban Development (HUD) to investigate illegal discrimination.

This building was build within a black community of Overtown, but have very few blacks residing here. Now the process they have u bring all paperwork that’s needed, u sit with someone for at least and hour and a half going over all documents to make sure u have the correct paperwork. That personnel then go to the office have your documents review but a higher person return and say ok all documents are fine someone will call you. Now mind u the person who contacts u then tell u all your documents are incorrect like really. All this time being wasted for what? But it’s all to discourage the blacks. They make it hard for only blacks the building is full with nothing but Spanish people in a black community not one black stand a chance even with the proper document it’s very racist for them to push our blacks away who qualify and have the proper document not to mention the credit to move in but yet being pushed away because of the color of your skin. Like it’s 2025 and this still happens. The people who call tells u all documents isn’t correct after 2 people review them prior to your leaving. This can’t be right and this how yall treat black seniors but make it easy for all the Spanish to get approved with the same documents blacks have. Something isn’t right. I will be contacting the commissioner about this.

I met with Ashley L. Today and she assured me my mom Rta had been received and gave me her apt number. She went the extra mile to research my mom case.

Yes it is a beautiful place, but the swimming pool door access is locked after 6:00 pm and the security said not to get into the water...Really!!, for residents who pay the rent, have not place to relax at night. The securities should be watching  by the parking lot, I have seen people sneaking in  the building through the back door.. Where are they when this happening? Walking around the building...
