The Shores At Keys Gate

Today was the third time a loose dog has come up to me while I was walking my baby in his stroller . A big husky that looked like a wolf ran across the street and started following us. I turned back to go home and it kept circling us . It was terrifying and I’m afraid to even go walking in this community anymore.

AVOID THIS HOA COMMUNITY!!! My first HOA experience and my last. Ride around security and HOA management inspectors are a joke (they only see what they want) - gate security people are decent if you treat them with respect... certain neighbors are targeted for violations, constantly, while others can blatantly do whatever they want with no repercussions. The management company is only out for money. You will be lucky if they acknowledge any communications you send them. Cable and internet are included in HOA fee, and recently we were forced to change to a subpar plan and company, with no say in the matter, and no regular and constant representative to work out the kinks.
Forget about a safe, secure place. A year ago they installed a gate code box at the second entrance, which use to be for "residents only." Now, so many people gave codes to get into our community because many residence give it out to anyone - like delivery people.
Please avoid this community - don't pay them for subpar service. Wish we had rented before purchasing, first - we would have stayed away. Also, compare it to other KEYS GATE community properties - they all offer different amenities for your HOA fee...something we weren't told about before purchasing and relocating from out of state.
NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE AN H.O.A. PROPERTY - thanks to continual, unpleasant experiences this one delivers to its residence.

It is nicer than the other parts of Homestead but however I'd expect better from a gated community with security. You'll have a lot of fireworks going off nightly from Thanksgiving through Christmas. You'll have people trying to smoke their tires in the roundabout. Younger adults living with their multigenerational households racing around the streets. It'll only drag the value of your property investment down over the long run. And this community has a security company??? All they're looking for is any kind of violations to tell the HOA to generate revenue. Glad I only rented when I first moved here. Certainly won't buy here. It is nice that they allow golf carts to go around the community but that's almost all of Florida. As for the problems mentioned it certainly wouldn't be worth investing the 375k+ the houses are now going for now. They are more relaxed on HOA rules, the on street parking is getting out of hand and isn't even enforced.

The neighborhood isnt bad but Miami Management and the "security" team are just out to take the residents money. There is a house with purple trim but they will be towing cars in the middle of the night! Got a call at 1130 that my guest didn't have a parking pass. Didn't get it till 0115 BECAUSE I WAS SLEEPING LIKE A NORMAL PERSON! Car was already gone. The lady at the front gate has the audacity to lie and say they followed up at 1230, insisting even after I show her my call log that the only call was at 1130 and showing me calling my voicemail at 0115!

The gated entrance gets very backed up, and the security clearance is not quick, so we were waiting about 20 minutes just to get through the gate.

Security takes their job too seriously 🤡

Terrible and bad service from those who work at the entrance…. Two years ago I bought my house here and today I am moving because it is the worst association I have ever seen, you pay a lot of money monthly to only get mistreatment in return. If you call the office for any issue it is worse!!! I do not recommend it ….
