Update 2: I was contacted by an investigator from the DBPR. While the current law does not have the jurisdiction to handle all my issues with the management and board related to HOA nonsense (if you know you know), there is more transparency within the law and the department. I can respect that progress (Thank you DeSantis!). There is increased transparency and increased jurisdiction related to conflict of interest.

Well-maintained facility and great mix of all generations. Beautiful scenery. Chill people.
However, your experience may vary wildly depending on current management and how many members of the board believe they are untouchable:
Current property manager:
Unprofessional and messy. Does a great job at planning, but she can’t hold water to save her life. She will talk badly about any and every person to any passerby. Some examples:
Her regional manager? Will tell all his business. Who he meets with and for how long.
Staff? Better keep your eyes down. Too many nice and pretty women around. You will be looked at like a construction worker.
Board member? You’re an octopus (take that however you want).
Have kids? Anything that child breaks will become public knowledge (if you replaced a fan recently 👀).
Her method of mediation is outright lies and telling one person one thing and another anything. Take that however you want.
Weird relationship with the current treasurer…so if you get fined. She used to body build and they have that in common, so there is that.
Will make decisions based on how many units you own. If one person owns 3 and you own 1. If you rent, chile.
Trash and mail are at times outside standard business hours.
Record everything, with permission of course.
