Altis Kendall Square

I have always been impressed by how the maintenance personnel at Altis consistently attend to my needs in a timely manner. Their dedication and promptness in addressing any issues or requests have made my experience here smooth and hassle-free. It's truly reassuring to know that I can rely on them to take care of any maintenance concerns efficiently.

This is a wonderful place to live!! We've been here for a few months and we love it! It's so well-managed, grounds are pristine and they're always planning events to involve the community, the amenities are great and the personnel at the leasing office/clubhouse are so helpful that our needs are more than met.

Today I received the keys of my unit and I am extremely happy and grateful for this place. Leonardo's attention and service is wonderful. He is in charge of explaining every detail of the process and he takes the time to do it without haste. My building is super clean and I really like the security that is provided there. I am really very happy that I chose Altis as my new home.

Where do I even begin? After the tour, Claudia was very rude and unprofessional. Since the day we moved it was already such a unpleasant experience. When I was given keys and taken to my unit, there was a huge religious cross on my door that had dripping stains on it. How could they ever allow someone to move in with this on the door. This offended me and disrespected my religion. Not too long after moving in my dryer was broken. After placing a maintenance request on January 15th and still having a dysfunctional dryer, I placed yet ANOTHER request on July 10th, and again, still no resolution. Everyone knows that a key appliance is your dryer. I finally decided to call Emergency maintenance on July 23nd because my whole apartment smelled like burning  smoke because of the broken dryer, the call was answered by the rudest and most unprofessional maintenance technician that I have ever met. He continued to say that he will not be going to my unit on a Sunday afternoon and that my husband "must be Cuban because we are idiots." After this incident, management never reached out to either myself nor my husband to apologize or acknowledge what happened. Every time you complain, the manager Leonardo, gets extremely defensive and refuses to help. The day right after, they brought me a new dryer. They knew it was broken the whole time and REFUSED to give me a new one until 10 months after I moved!! Also, on July 8th, I placed a request in regards to mold that I have in my master closet. Someone came out and painted over the mold. The mold ate through the paint immediately. I then placed another request on August 29th, someone came out to my apartment again and told me to remove everything from my closet, I did, and they just sprayed Kills and painted over it again. Obviously, the mold came back again  so we reached out to Alberto, a Maintenance technician who had given us his personal cell phone, and asked him to pass by our unit again to check the roof. We have been dealing with this since July 8th, it was not until I sent a massive email about a week ago that they decided to finally call a vendor out to fix the damages. Or so we thought, My husband took the day off from work to be present for this and what took place was absolutely absurd. I was specifically told that I had to “remove all personal items from the closet where the maintenance team will be working.” This was a complete lie and waste of time. I was instructed to empty out my entire closet for a second time to get a photo taken of the roof. This has been an unpleasant and recurring issue with management. I cannot wait to leave this community that is so poorly managed. Do not expect a follow up email or call from the staff if you have an issue. I would not recommend this community to my worst enemy. Absolutely horrible! I am attaching all the pictures of all the problems in my unit, you can see how the mold continues to darken and grow. This is unacceptable!

I want to take a few minutes to provide my review about this place. I lived in Altis for about  7 years, I have nothing than good things to says about this place. Excellent management, maintenance team, and nice community. I have to says about management, that they always try to make it right, at the same time they try to help you when you need them. Of course the complex has rules, and you need to make sure that it is the right place for you to live in order that you do not disturb neighbors, you should check if its according to your standards before you move. The management always treats you with respect and professionalism, and they prepare activities, all possible times, to make your living more exceptional while in there. Always attentive, and with a smile.
The maintenance team... very fast service and very good manners, they always say Hi! if they see you passing by. Very respectful and dedicated team to do their service as soon as possible to resolve any issue you have.
The community, Altis is a wonderful place to live, nice apartments, so well designed, all of them are equally  beautiful. I lived in a Studio, in the Carmine (So Pretty for one bedroom apartment), and last one, the two bedroom. The only issue here, for me, the stairs, other than that, nothing wrong.
I also want to mention," Parking", you will not have issues with parking here, they have plenty compared with other places; just some neighbors that randomly park in a wrong designated place, but also management takes care of that, if happens.
My only concern here was the speeding for the cars in the boulevard area, you just need to check carefully before crossing the street, most of the times were from visitor.
I was very happy here living in my apartment, and I truly recommend this place. You might always find something negative in a place you go, because of people that don't follow rules, but here, the whole management team work to make sure you fell comfortably fine while you are staying.

Today I was affected and the 4 tires of my vehicle, parked in front of the building, were stolen. I feel that they should install more security and cameras to make us feel more protected.
