Avalon Fort Lauderdale

This has been a great apartment complex. Im 6 months into the lease and I've gotta say, I'm very satisfied. The walls are thick, the office is helpful and kind, things are fixed fast (yet are rarely broken), and the amenities are quite nice. I use the gym all the time. Other folks have mentioned homeless outside the apartment. I have seen a few but they never bothered me.

We are very happy with our choice to live at Avalon Fort Lauderdale. The building is well maintained and clean. The management staff, Sandro, Nick and Monika are always helpful and professional. The maintenance team is amazing.Robert and Mauricio are very quick to handle requests!
Robert always responds to all our services requests within 30 minutes or less. He is very competent and friendly! 😃

They  do a great job every time and are very knowledgeable.  I recently needed some maintenance for some items in my apartment and Robert solved the issues did a very professional job. Excellent & Reliable service; very professional and responded very timely.

Update, Robert and Mauricio have been great at fixing everything that has come up. have been living here for almost 2 years. I needed help with my packages after a long hospital stay and ROBERT went above and beyond to help as he always does. He is  key part of the team that makes living here spectacular. I really enjoyed my eight months I stayed there.  The staff was pleasant and the building was kept very clean.   I always enjoyed the proximity to Whole Foods.  The only bummer in the end was a two month penalty for breaking a lease.  The only thing that happened to me in the end was a crazy person who was very upset about us moving in the regular elevators.  I had asked the staff and they said no problem and then someone else reserved the freight elevator, so I had to use the regular elevators (I am not sure why they didn't reserve for me when I asked).  The resident was trying to get a two baby carriage into the elevator and I told her to get in and she refused to allow us on at the same time saying we were unsafe (the kids were walking next to the carriage?).  We just had some items.  She was just weird.  And there was plenty of room.  She was a nut job.  I am glad I don't live there anymore, just because of her. Oh, and not the fault of the apartment, but there are a lot of homeless people who hang out close to there.  It's a bit sketch at times.  It's too bad about that.

Great place to live and maintenance staff is amazing. Very attentive, they always worked quickly to all request. You have the supermarket, the airport and the beach nearby so what’s not to love. Unfortunately at the time of moving out management withheld most of my deposit because of “cleaning fees”. They will probably give a very corporate answer if they respond to this, something like it had to be left to the standard that it was at the time of moving in and forget about normal wear and tear but I can say with certainty that there was nothing beyond a bit of dust if any left over from the move. I had a feeling this would happen so I made sure to record the place after I had everything moved out. Either way, luckily it wasn’t much they kept but just be mindful if you are moving out to submit your move out paper work electronically so you have a backup. In my case, I completed a paper version and even though I did not select to opt in to the cleaning services when I was time to receive my deposit there was a practically nothing left. when I reached out to Avalon to inquire about the fee they said I had opted in to cleaning fee. Since Avalon did not correct this, I want to provide some advice to everyone else so it doesn’t happen to them. Make sure you have proof of everything when dealing with management. If it’s not in writing it never happened. Besides that great place to live.

Since living at Avalon Fort Lauderdale, I've been consistently impressed with the team here, particularly their attention to detail and dedication to maintaining this community at a high standard. The maintenance team is knowledgable and reliable - from prompt responses to service requests to their commitment to maintaining a beautiful and sustainable community, they consistently exceed expectations. Robert B has responded to all our service requests within an hour and is very efficient with his work.

The staff and people are pleasant, However the rental policy is straight up predatory. If 2 checks bounce (even if on a separate leases or years ago) for any reason at all then you are blocked from being able to pay online. You have to either 1) Pay over the phone with customer care and incur additional fees or 2) Mail a money ordered check to their operations office within 48 hours of recovering the notice. This wouldn’t be a problem at all except for the fact that it takes 7 days for the check to arrive. So you’re forced to pay more for trying to pay in the first place. It does nothing but burden someone who is just trying to do the right thing when noticing the payment didn’t go through.
