Beach Walk at Sheridan

I moved into this complex a year ago from out of town. The day we moved in the apt was not ready, even though I was assured it would be. They were still painting and dealing with a broken washing machine. The painters didn't care,  there was paint spatter everywhere. The movers moved my couch in and the painters were painting the ceiling over my couch. They didn't bother covering my couch with plastic to protect it. The 4th floor breezeway floods my apt everytime it rains because there's a low spot in front of my apt door. No other tenants on this floor have this issue. I asked them to fix it and the response was no because many others are dealing with the same issue. The parking lot also floods badly. There's only one way in and one way out. When the water collects you are literally driving through a lake, people always get stuck. When asking to have this resolved I was told it's the City of Dania Beach's issue. There are people who have loud parties at the pool at all hours and leave messes and trash behind that is not cleaned up for days. There are issues that the maintenance team "fixes" almost every month in my apt. There are no cameras around the parking lot even though this is a high crime area. People smoke weed which infiltrates other Apts. Pet owners do not clean up after them. The balcony was covered in bird feces.  I asked them to clean it up but was told it's was my responsibility. You're putting your life on the line by using the elevators. Who knows when they have been inspected last. It's all very disappointing and frustrating.
I could go on,  but this is a good snapshot of the living experience here.

Poorly maintained.  We moved in March '23 and every month the elevator in Bldg 4 has broken down.  It last broke down 2 months ago, and we are still "waiting for parts".  The excuse has stopped being credible.  No update since Sep 19 and no reduction in rent offered for the inconvenience of having to schlep groceries and other things up the stairs for 2 months. There have been repeated incidences of people not picking up after their dogs, along with one incident where a mess was left in the apartment corridor. I have seen large iguanas walking the corridors of the ground floor and even trying to get into the elevator. The corridors flood when it rains and we have to watch our step. There have been several complaints of people partying late at night by the pool. Had they told me the truth about the dodgy elevator, I would have never moved in. I would move, but with the elevator being out of order, it's going to cost me more to do so, plus the whole breaking of the lease thing.   Counting the days to the end of the lease.  Initial review: beg of October 2023 Oct 15 Update: Two weeks later and the elevator is still out of order.  No update from management since Sep 19.  The situation is being ignored and I don't think there's any intention to repair the elevator.  I will continue to update to bump up review and to document the poor maintenance of the elevator.  When I finally move, if the elevator is out and I'm charged more, a record will exist for me to take to Small Claims.  I've also been taking a daily picture of the elevator being out of order for documentation.

I would like to thank Ceecee and Melissa for attending my needs and inquiries all through out the process. I love the place as it is walking distance to Walmart neighborhood, Dollar tree, Publix and some Banks. It is also 2 miles away the Hollywood North Beach Park. The place is also near to Elementary schools. I love that the apartment is almost a gated community, it comes with a pool and a gym which is a plus.

Good community, great cost benefit rental. Well located, Publix and Starbucks across the street and FLL in less than 10 minutes. The building is old but reasonably maintained and the staff is responsive.

Súper residencial , to live like a visitor all amenities well cared and quite place to live with nature and neighbors whom like the beach and peaceful place you live day by day . Thanks Melissa Javiel , the representative that helped me a lot with all the paper works to compleat .
My daughter , pet and I are happy to start our journey here at Beach Walk residence .

I have 2 apartments and this is smaller and more expensive than my apartment in DC. They also did not seal the apartment properly and in only a few months in the apartment, there are now mice. While they responded with pest control, this should not have happened in the first place and it is extremely distressing. We had to sleep in the car 2 nights in a row because we couldn’t go back inside the apartment. They admit that the apartment was clean and it was a sealing mistake, and told us to just wait for the nice to get caught in the traps. That’s unacceptable for people who are terrified and they want us to pay fees to leave. I lived in Florida for years and never saw mice, and this is too much trouble for the cost.
