De Soto Park South Association Office

Where to start? There is a heck of a lot more bad here so I'll start with the good! The Good:
The cleaning people in building 501 were always very friendly and courteous. Please note these are NOT the office employees. I'm specifically talking about the cleaning staff of the building.
The Bad:
Definitely a run down place. They really don't take care of the building, tenets, amenities, or parking lots.
I can only speak on the building I lived in, but I doubt the others were any better maintained. The Buildings are falling apart. There is leaking water everywhere. I know of three separate apartments that dealt with leaking including my own on the top floor. Whenever it would rain there was a 50/50 chance I will be getting water in the bedroom. Only once did an office employee come to take a look. We were told the building has cracks and never heard from them again. We also had tenets from apartments below us coming to ask if we were running water because they also had leaks. The stairwell ALSO leaked.
There is one washer and dryer per floor and it was not uncommon to find a machine unplugged because it was broken. The laundry card situation is also very inconvenient. It's $10 for an empty card that can only be filled with cash at the machine in the office form monday to friday 8-4 (ish because the office people leave when they want). So if you want to do laundry after hours or the weekend good luck! Load the card during the workday otherwise you're not doing laundry there.
The elevators are unsafe. People have gotten stuck multiple times. They often times don't work well. The doors will just shut on you even if you're standing in the middle of the door. The inspection papers on the elevators show they're expired and the office added a small sticker with a supposed recent inspection date. However they did not update the paperwork which leads me to believe it's a total lie. Someone should look into this because it's a hazard.
The front door situation is kind of weird as well. They asked for $60 to put your number into the door. If you don't do this there is no way to let people in so you will be forced to manually open the door for people. Which is a HUGE problem with packages. Often times delivery drivers are unable to get into the building.
When we first moved in a year ago we were told they were working on security for the parking lot. As of one full calendar year i've only seen ONE person there for one night. And he was harassing an elderly women trying to load her car with stuff because her car was in the front by the elevators. The parking lot is a mess. You get people wanting to avoid the valet cost at olympus towers so they will park here and walk over. Taking up the guest spots for the actual tenets. People park in the grass because there is no other choice. Also the parking lot has a gaping hole surrounded by cones. This hole has been there since we moved in a year ago.
The tennis courts are never used, i'm not even sure if they're open. There has been "construction" which left a pile of rocks sitting in front of it for many months.
This would be the third complex i've lived in on Three Islands and is by far the worst of the three. Sadly I cannot recommend this place to anyone and I genuinely feel bad for anyone that purchased there. Because your money is being trashed.
January 2024 Update: We moved out of the complex two months ago and have received no correspondence for the deposit. So keep that in mind if moving here your deposit is actually just a fee they keep. As I have witnessed and many others have stated YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR DEPOSIT BACK from these people. You’ll be lucky to even get a call or email back.

It’s the third month since we moved from this place, and still the desotopark association has not returned our deposit, which they MUST RETURN within 30 days. Two months guys, this goes beyond all boundaries of the law. Servicing this condominium ends with spreading your arms to the sides. When you are looking for housing for yourself, never come to this place!!!!!! NEVER.
