Time to unpack my experience of living at the ledges. It was quite literally the worst experience I have ever had. This is directly referencing the HOA, not my landlord. First and foremost, the HOA property managers harass their tenants if they think they are "undesirables" and don't belong on the property, even if they live there.
The building I lived in had our water shut off, almost weekly for a long period of time. They claim it's for pipe maintenance which it could have been, but it is unacceptable for the water to be taken down for half a day, weekly.
The property managers also have favoritism towards certain tenants over others. Without going into too much detail for legal reasons, they absolutely pick and choose who to send violations to, all the while others on the property do the same thing with no repercussions. You can't have wind chimes, but everyone has. Youre not allowed to dry things over your balcony, but people do. If you lose the lottery, you'll get in trouble while others get away with it.
The property has little to no guest spots, and they often use it for construction equipment or trash. Good luck finding guest parking on a Friday. To make matters worse, there were 7 or so units that didn't have any assigned parking either, and the BOD would put up notices asking others to relinquish their spots to give to others.
The elevator in our building has been out of date for over a year, and is dangerous to use. It will go up and down while you are getting in, close on you and not open when it feels the resistance. It had failed inspection and the city has been aware but it hasn't had the new certification displayed at the the time of us leaving.
We tried our best to be good neighbors, we would never have loud music playing, we walked only in socks so to avoid downstairs complaints, we tried to live a simple life there but the HOA had other plans.
If you're thinking of living at the ledges, be wary of their favoritism, try to look elsewhere.
