I toured a one-bedroom/one-bath on the 22nd of April 2024. I was told that the unit I saw was available and that no one had applied yet. I applied that same night and called the very next day to start the process. The leasing agent I spoke to promised me that he would hold the apartment and I could move in this week. I was glad at how smooth the process was going. I am a military member, so I knew I would have no problems getting approved. The leasing agent again claimed that I would be first in line even if someone else applied. Thus, when I called on April 23rd, 2024, to ensure my application would be processed for the apartment I wanted, I was told by the very same leasing agent who promised me that apartment that someone had applied before me. However, that person was denied, and yet their application was pushed to corporate, and now they are getting the apartment. What's worse is the leasing agent told me he would hold on to my application since a similar unit might be available by the end of the month. But then, about two hours after I spoke to him, I saw on the Southpointe website that the one-bedroom would not be available until July 31st, 2024. I demand my application fee back because nothing was completed, and nothing was done to rectify this situation. I will not be reapplying, and I would like the property manager to give me a call.
