Once again, the management and administr ...
Once again, the management and administration at this leasing office are absolutely terrible. This morning, I approached a young lady in the office to submit a maintenance request for my blinds and oven range. I specifically wanted to do this in person because, back in September, it took over a week to complete a simple maintenance request for my garbage disposal. To make matters worse, I even received a notification stating that the request had been completed when, in reality, nothing had been done. The leasing agent told me I had to submit my request through ActiveBuilding, which I did. I received a confirmation that my request was received, but after that—nothing. No follow-up, no update, nothing. Given my past experience, I would have expected them to be more proactive, but clearly, that’s not the case.
Birge & Held seriously needs to train their staff on basic follow-up procedures and customer service. The lack of communication and accountability is beyond frustrating.

The worst experience, never come to live ...
The worst experience, never come to live in this horrible place, starting with the administration that does not care at all the inhabitants, the property manager, laughs in your face when you want to solve a problem, I lived a year and it was the worst year living there, apart from it is super dangerous and they do not have a security in the building, dog urine on the elevators almost every day, garbage in all the corridors every day, and the administration? Of course as always, never responding to these situations…

My experience at the Pomelo has been an overall pleasant one. From day one Perla Nunez at the Leasing office was engaging and very professional. She took her time explaining and assisting us with the leasing process, and went above and beyond to provide us with excellent customer service. Development wise the property site was well designed. The units are contemporary and come with energy efficient appliances. No design detail was left out. Even after 15 months, I look forward each day to living in my cozy apartment. Management does an overall good job of properly notifying residents of important issues, while the maintenance personnel keep the outside grounds and common areas clean and in an orderly manner. Yes, any leasing property may run into issues, but it’s not a reflection of management, for the most part it is an isolated incident with a tenant who is not following common sense rules. The Pomelo is a very nice community. I also enjoy Perla’s creativity in coordinating monthly events which are fun and meaningful for the residents to take advantage of and enjoy. It is a positive demonstration of her goodwill and coordinated effort towards the residents of the Pomelo apartments.

DO NOT RENT THERE. All the good reviews  ...
DO NOT RENT THERE. All the good reviews are fake and we got a collection from them, we reported them to the BBB and they will launch an investigation. I lived there for 3 years since The Pomelo opened brand new. Administration and ownership changed and they made it worse. They sell it as luxury living and it is far from that. From the beginning on our building the guest bedrooms don’t have electricity or light for our unit and several of our neighbors we told them from the get go and they said they couldn’t fix it because they would have to break the wall since it was done wrong from the get go. The floors were lifting through all the 3 buildings but they would always blame it on the dogs and not fix it. Hallways would always have carpet lifting and walls dirty and in bad condition and air conditioners would always be down as well as elevators. And walls inside the apartments would be cracking. Keep in mind the building is only 3 years old. When we moved out we left the apartment completely clean, and holes on the walls patched up. They said we didn’t have to paint since their paint is a specific color registered under them and they will take care of that. Turns out a few weeks later we get a collection bill for $900 something dollars for paint, cleaning and floor. So we are not going back and forth with them either they remove the collection because they keep on doing this to people once they move out or they will just be investigated. Everyone we know there is either leaving or already left. It’s a shame the apartments are specious and comfortable but the administration and bad management ruins something nice.

Worst place to live, and I'm going to explain the reasons why you shouldn't make the decision to live here (you're going to make the worst decision), I frequent this place a lot since friends live here, once they broke the windows of my car and stole several valuable belongings, which the administration cared ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about this, not only me but my friends have had many problems with security, the people in the office don't care about anything, they only care about taking money and tricking people into living in this horrible place, especially Mrs. PERLA, she thinks she's the owner of the building, in general none of the team helps to solve anything, the hallways of the buildings are terribly dirty. but really especially the staff people I don't know why they work with customer service

Absolutely Horrible Management – Stay Away! The office staff here is beyond reckless and completely indifferent to tenant concerns.
If you want to live somewhere with useless management that ignores crime and basic tenant needs, this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay far away.
