It took me awhile to write this because I always feel a little aprehensive giving negative feedback but I finally decided to do it. I only give this place 2 stars because some of the staff deserves 5 stars. I am going to start off positive by applauding the amazing France from maintenance who has always helped us with our issues in the apartment promptly and with a smile on his face ALWAYS! make sure you tip him!! he goes above and beyond. Jessica, Max and Chris the original office staff was just amazing! Once Steve took over as manager we were kind of stumped, he lived there and when we needed after office hours help, he did not want to be bothered and had 0 personality aside from complaining to the actual residents about other residents. One resident spent an entire night with a soaking wet apartment because the 24 hour emergency line did not do anything to help. I remember another greystar building we lived in, the maintenance crew would be on call for emergencies and they would show up asap. We absolutely appreciate Jason for his amazing person, he truly deserves a better position, he kept his smile on no matter what the issue was. The problems come from the owners and the residents. The disregard for the residents when in need is a huge problem. So many of our neighbors complained that the issues they had in their apartments were not getting fixed such as water leaks, their personal property being ruined by the leaks with no compensation and months would go by before a resolution took place if any. You cannot walk out the door without the stench of the garbage, glass broken all over the concrete and piles of dog poop for days not cleaned up, the smell was so bad, i would run through the path out to the street as fast as i could. The hallways filled with dog urine smell because there are carpets, yes carpets in a dog friendly place, what genius thought of that? we would leave our apartment running to the elevator because of the horrible smell. Everyone would tell the office about this issue, suggesting cameras be put up so we could catch the people that would leave pee and poop behind but they did not want to spend the money although the rents are absurd there compared to what you can get elsewhere. No security at all so you had people from the street that easily walked into the property, because it is that easy, there would be strangers in the pool area all of the time especially with the boat club which had access to our facilities but then would use our pool, crazy!! There would be drunk passed out people overnight by the pool area found the next day, fights would break out, crazy stuff but they are supposedly "luxury living". My mind was blown at the package rooms, omg, beware if you shop online what you will deal with in this place. Your packages get thrown in the rooms and you have to go and look for them, there is no organization at all and they get stolen constantly. We have made suggestions to them on what to do to make it more organized, we offered to help and they did not consider any of it. The grills were always broken and took months to fix before breaking again. There is no smoking allowed but people continue to smoke cigarettes, pot, cigars on their balcony which i have no problem with but it is a clear indication of poor management that it goes on but other good people do not get renewed for no reason, just because they do not like you or what ever reason! The rent increases were disgusting, be prepared for a good 5 to 6 to 8 hundred dollar increase on your rent after a year if not more. Don't bother spending money on your move knowing this because they were getting people in at a much lower rate then the residents had to pay so they reel you in to then increase your rent, get it? they just care about the money, bottom line, hope this helps!
