I wrote this review in my phone in Nov2022. It is now February 2024 and I STILL have not received my deposit back. ————
I’m writing this review after my 6th call to try and receive my deposit back after moving out in June 2022. After I moved out, I received a statement showing a final water bill and a lost key charge being deducted from my returned deposit. I received 5 keys (2 mail, 2 door, and 1 gate), I returned the same 5 keys.
Aside from this final experience, my unit had a major mold issue which they completed ignored until *I* hired someone to come in and test for it to confirm my suspicions. Once I sent confirmation of the mold in my apartment, primarily the AC unit, the very next day they sent maintenance to spray the intake unit with some solution and wipe it out with some towels. I asked if they could also clean the ducts, they said sure, but that never happened despite multiple requests. Fast forward a few months later, the ducts are not cleaned and the dishwasher breaks. I let them know I saw water leaking around the dishwasher, they came, cleaned it, and said it was all set. A few days later, I began to see more mold on the baseboard under the dishwasher and sink. I also saw black mold circles on the back wall behind the dishwasher in the linen closet. I contacted them about it all. They said they would change the baseboard and cut out the drywall that was impacted. I was not home when this work was completed. I arrived home and could EASILY see the mold in the closet was maybe wiped and painted over (same little marks and smudges around the immediate area). Two days later, I swept the kitchen floor and knocked the baseboard - IT FELL OVER AND THE MOLDY ONE WAS STILL RIGHT THERE BEHIND IT.
Short version of the story - my experience here was literally awful. Thoughtout the whole mold issue, I spent weeks out of my own home. They REFUSED to put me in a guest unit, REFUSED to reimburse me for the mold report that confirmed there was indeed a mold problem, REFUSED to reimburse for any of the hospital grade air filters I needed to have my asthmatic son in the apartment at all. Please note when checking this place out, the company name is Lyon Living from CA - read those reviews before making your decision as they are who you will deal with for any relative sized issues. They simply said NO in every way possible when attempting to correct this situation. Images attached.
