I lived here with my family for over 2 years. Worst rental experience of my life. They are so desperate to get people in the building that they let anyone live there, so be careful. There were so many robberies in the building and a car was stolen from the lot once. Drug busts happened at least 3 times where swat teams were called in to bust through doors in the early morning. Be prepared to hear some residents screaming fighting in the middle of the night. Animal friendly? Sure. Especially to roaches. This building is disgustingly infected with roaches. They have an "exterminator" come every month although I'm not so sure what he does. They just open the front door, (don't actually put one foot in the apartment) and let out a teeny spray and move on to the next home. Expect your kitchens and bathrooms to be completely infected with roaches and their eggs, despite countless hours of cleaning and roach traps. The air conditioning is constantly breaking and the maintenance man won't be in a hurry to fix it. They consider being in Florida with a newborn baby on a summer day with NO ac a non emergency, so have extra money to purchase a nice tower fan or two from Target or Walmart. They also don't pay too much mind to mold or leaks coming from the roofs and walls. If you have these issues, expect to have to complain at least 3 - 4 times before anything is actually done. Hint: try to contact through email so in case you have to go the city with these issues you have proof you reached out to the building. Some apartments are being renewed with tiles. The rest have disgusting old carpet. If you expect to get your deposit back, even if you repaint or professionally clean the carpet you will be disappointed. The ONLY positive thing I can say is that they are big units. But for the horrendous staff and disgusting building it is, I would rather be in an apartment much smaller. At the end of the day it is about being sanitary and safe.
