Quote of the Year: "It's just a rental." - Hermes, 'We Care Representative' Rent (1 bed): $1750-$2100+/month
The housekeeping staff here is great, especially Mary, as well as the head maintenance, Kurt. The office staff not so great or even friendly.
(11/24); Air handlers of Air Conditioners have limited air flow due to rusred, dirty, clogged air unit that have never been cleaned or maintained properly (causing AC to stay running longer than it should, wasting electricity).
Attempted to clean air handler a few times but it needs a professional cleaning or just replaced. Alerted maintenance, they looked at the air handler said that it was really bad and that they'd request a work order with the office to have it replaced....that was like 3 months ago.
I figure they're just delaying the repairs or just ignoring it all together until after the lease is up.
Updated (2/14/23); Be aware that every year the property confiscates (and throws away or sells) bicycles that they deem to be unworthy at the bike racks.
Updated (see below); The problem is the false sense of security, the property is listed as a secure private gated community but the pedestrian side gates have been vandalized, all can access the property on foot. The front gate on the 'resident' side opens for anyone (in vehicle or on foot) with no need for a code or a resident sticker, just drive or walk up to it, it'll open automatically (been that way for a couple years now). Another false sense of security is the fact that you dont need a code or key to enter the 6 story residence building, the 'Tower'. One of the doors at both entrances either dont lock or dont shut properly (doors are sometimes forced open by residents/guests by pulling on them). Residents will also occasionally prop open the stairwell doors for all to come and go as they please. While on the subject of the 'Tower', DO NOT RENT at the 2610 address, building #5, apartments #102, 104, 202, 204, 302, 304, 402 and 404 unless you dont mind hearing or being disturbed by the very loud, almost ear piercing guest call box buzz in sound, as well as the slamming of the doors every time someone enters/exits the building (door hydraulic mechanisms are shot).
Updated 9/2020;
Front security gate has been fixed.
'The Towers' fire alarm systems will occasionally go off for no reason.
Funny thing is, I thought the new apartment would be better but it has problems as well; rust in bathroom sinks (before moving in, they just spray paint them). A/C air unit half clogged/dirty...when they came to look at it, maintenance response on request of a cleaning, "these are old units, they're going to look like that." Water leak from ice maker line got the carpet wet in adjoining room. Ice maker stopped working, I shut off water to ice maker, leaked stopped, the leak is coming from the nozzle to shut water off/on. After alerting office of leak, they sent maintenance to look at it a couple of days later (talk about urgency for possible water damage on property). Anyway, maintenance turned the water back on, he claims it wasn't opened all the way, that's why it leaked the first time...about a week later, wet floor and carpet in the next room again, so I shut water off again and cleaned it up. Scheduled for maintenance to come look at it, with the same urgency as the first time, a couple days later, maintenance returned and fixed nothing but he turned the water back on, pointed out the on/off switch on the ice maker, his reasoning of why it stopped making ice (like I didn't know where or what it was) instructed me to "let it leak", "dont clean it up" and contact office so he could come back to the apartment while its leaking and try to find the problem. lmao, whatever! I feel bad for the residents that live in the apartment below.
