A Warning to Potential Residents: Unethical Practices, Financial Exploitation, and Upcoming Disruptive Construction. If you value peace, tranquility, and personal freedom, I strongly caution against living here.
My 6-month experience has been marred by authoritarian, inflexible rules that exploit residents rather than protect them.
This condo association operates under what can only be described as a totalitarian regime. Their policies and enforcement are devoid of compassion or reasonable accommodation.
I was slapped with a $300 fine for a minor elevator usage infraction, a clear case of unjust enrichment—taking money unjustly for trivial offenses.
Furthermore, the parking fees are exorbitant, at $16 per night and $7 for a few hours. I couldn't even use my second assigned parking space without paying an additional $100+ in registration fees, epitomizing financial exploitation.
But there's more: they are set to begin a massive construction project on all balconies, involving disruptive jackhammering that's expected to last through 2024.
If you're considering moving in, consult with the condo association directly, as realtors may omit this crucial information.
And if you do lock into a lease, I'd recommend adding a clause that allows you to vacate without penalty should construction begin.
I've experienced this kind of disruption firsthand, and it's akin to torture when trying to work or relax at home. These actions are not just inflexible but downright unethical and morally bankrupt. They exploit residents financially and disregard individual well-being. If you're seeking an ethical, fair, and peaceful living environment, look elsewhere.
Those 5 star reviews are fraudulent, obviously posted by landlords trying to maximize their rental income or sell their condos for maximum profit. Don't be fooled. This place is like a prison.
The walls are paper thin so you can hear your neighbors talking or doing other things. And don't turn up your TV or music too loud because you will get fined for that too. The condo manager actually came to my unit and said I needed to wear headphones in my own home! So much for that brand new surround sound system for my home theater!
There are security cameras all over the first floor and lobby area, but only one one each floor elevator landing and none in the parking garage levels besides the first floor. Theft is a big problem, so don't leave anything valuable in your vehicles.
The front emblem was even stolen off the front of my BMW right in the garage, and they scratched the paint badly too...
It's literally one fiasco after another. The property manager will treat you as though you are under the thumb of the mafia, step out of line and you will pay the price!
