Lakeside At Biscayne Gardens

As first-time US residents renting, we're grateful that Daryl was the first property manager to accept us as tenants as we were getting settled into the new country! Lakeside was home for us for over 2 years, with mostly great neighbors in a green and peaceful area of North Miami. The price was amazing for the Miami rent market, and although several aspects of the older property reflect the rent rates, overall it's an amazing solution for tenants on a tighter budget in an increasingly expensive city. The lake behind the building was beautiful for morning walks, and the parking wasn't an issue for our single-car household (although sometimes it could get tricky if guests were coming over).
We encountered only a handful of issues over the 2+ years we stayed there, and property managers Daryl & Pedro were open to helping us find solutions along the way. Although we recently parted ways as we relocated to Downtown Miami, we've maintained a good relationship and would recommend Lakeside apartments for anyone looking for affordable housing solutions in Miami.

Lived here for about 2 years. It was not bad at all. Only reason i took off a star was for parking it’s very limited.

As I started my searching for an apartment and everyone knows how stressful can that be I found Mr Darryl the Property Manager of Biscayne Gardens I was so thrilled with his service that I can’t recommend him more highly enough.. He provided the most amazing service, extremely helpful. I truly feel that he goes above and beyond to deliver wonderful personalized Property Management of the highest standard .His attention to detail, clear communication professional knowledge and attentiveness means Thank you thank you thank you……Mr Darryl ! Beautiful and clean building! I’m so happy 😍

Apartment living always comes with issues. Overall, most of the neighbors are nice and respectful of the space. As with any place, some neighbors are not. Around January, the building experienced an uptick in pests but Pedro has addressed this relentlessly and with a lot of patience and reassured me that he was already taking more steps to handle the issue. I will say the building is older and more renovations are needed for the price, but it is an overall nice place to live and it is kept clean as long as residents do their part. There is limited parking space but residents are creative. It’s nice to know that when there is a major problem management will work to resolve it. Pedro has been AMAZING with addressing these issues along with individual concerns of tenants.

I just want to thank Daryl for taking care of us when we moved in two years back. The neighbors have been so lovely, the view is beautiful to wake up to and being able to just relax on our patio. Maintenance is on top of their stuff so thanks to papi for all his hard work and coming to our rescue whenever we need something. However, I do need to mention the cons about our place. We live by the water and those palmetto bugs ( big a$$ roaches ) can be an issue unless you have pets to eat them but they love to visit. The apartment could use some updating as I didn’t do my due diligence in checking certain parts of my apartment properly upon moving in, like opening in the ceiling within the cabinets, cracks that let the critters in within the bathroom area and kitchen, the ceiling in my bathroom which was pretty much patched over so much I’m assuming after a leakage. So much more care needs to go into those things because it really takes away from the potential of the apartment itself. I also wish we had bigger parking because it can become an issue when coming home in the late hours of the night if you have an extra vehicle. Other than that I’ve really had a majority, peaceful time living here. It’s also close to everything you would ever need around you, minus a drive to the beach but definitely good location and slightly secluded for privacy. I do think that all the apartments could use an update before you decide to raise the rent again for what I’ve addressed above, please and thank you. Although it appears they have been making changes little by little. We love a good change. Then it would make all the more sense for the price we pay to live there just saying! Until next time. By the way do not feed the precious ducks. So many cute little animals around to add to the Snow White affect outside but parents, the kids don’t need to feed them!

Rooms are old, the building has a serous bug problem, and the trash room is directly connected to the building which is probably why it has a big problem. I’m giving it two starts for the location and view

The inside bedroom is very small. They need to put the floor plan on the website and allow students to take a look at the room before making a choice. The food is not all that great for a culinary school.
