Living at Metropolis, at first may seem like a great deal, scenic views, and a top-notch location. You’d be incorrect. Beginning with the disaster area that is the parking garage, there is virtually no room for error as the garage is exceedingly narrow, and quite dangerous. Multiple car break ins were reported, and nothing was done. Working with the management office has been a complete nightmare for me and my fellow family and friends that have resided there. Also, it has taken exceedingly long to receive my security deposit back in a timely manner, so don’t get your hopes up too high if you expect things in a timely manner. In addition, the Association within Metropolis sets and forces tenants/owners to abide by a very strict set of rules, including multiple deposits for anything relating to or including renting out a common-space ($1,000 worth) hiring your own police officer for said event, or for even simply renting out the elevator in order for you to move in/out. Several issues were also raised with the management office relating to exposed rebar being exposed visibly on the balcony. After months and months of following up with the management office, my request was virtually, completely ignored, threatening the safety of me and my roommate. Finally, the pool area was shut down for a significant majority of my stay, which was quite unfortunate.Overall, I would say that this has not been an enjoyable experience, and will not be returning to Metropolis anytime soon.
