I lived here for 13 months and would not recommend it to anyone. Pros:
- Some staff members, like Alex and one other lady, were consistently kind and helpful.
Cons:
TL;DR: Avoid for the sake of your mental and physical well-being.
- Extremely noisy location – We had to wear active noise-canceling headphones just to sleep. If you're not into partying every weekend, this isn't the place for you.
- Frequent intrusions – Management enters your unit too often for all kinds of reasons. If you work from home, expect constant disruptions.
- Persistent chemical odor – The elevator and hallways always had an unpleasant chemical smell.
- Poor maintenance – The pool was **forced to** close for a period due to cleanliness issues (would you still want to use their pool in this case?), the carpet was filthy, and the gym equipment was low quality.
- Uncomfortable living conditions – The shower made a sharp, unpleasant noise, and the high humidity levels required constant cleaning to prevent mold, even on a high floor.
- Expensive laundry facilities.
- Unfair charges – We requested a one-month lease extension and signed what was supposedly a one-month agreement. However, the document actually extended the lease for six months, with a 30-day notice requirement. When we clarified this before signing, management assured us that this is just their procedure and we just need to let them know, but weren’t we doing that when we signed the extension, requesting one-month form, asking about the date discrepancy, which happened one month before we left? We thought they acknowledged it and everyone is one the same page so we signed. However, after moving out, they still charged us over $2,600+ for failing to provide notice. The signed form is technically against us so we paid it. But this whole thing was like a scam because we wrongly trusted them. If you have to live here, make sure that you sign every lease carefully! Don’t give them the chance to do this to you.
For the background, this is my first time giving one-star to a business. I always kept apartments clean and in almost the same condition when I moved in, and hired professionals to clean up when I left. This served me well before (because the other management teams I dealt with were quite reasonable) until this one. All this management leader thinks about is to get as much money from you as possible while keeping the cost low, which explains most points above.
I wouldn't recommend living here unless you're prepared for constant noise, disruptions, and questionable management practices.
