Pembroke Park Apartments

Living at Pembroke Park Apartments has been a nightmare due to severe mold and mildew issues that have affected my family’s health and destroyed our belongings. My children have been experiencing constant health problems, including allergies and respiratory issues, due to the unsafe living conditions. Despite multiple complaints, management has done nothing to properly address the issue. Corporate doesn’t care either they stand together. Instead of helping, they retaliated by issuing me a 7-day lease violation notice, blaming me for the mold problem when it’s their responsibility to maintain a habitable environment. I have lost furniture, clothing, and other personal belongings due to the mold, and I am now being threatened with eviction for something beyond my control.
If you are thinking about moving here, BEWARE! Management ignores tenant concerns and refuses to take responsibility for serious maintenance issues. No family should have to deal with these conditions. I do not recommend this place to anyone looking for a safe and healthy home.

Before you rent an apartment here, just know that it is infested with rats, roaches, and black mold!!!!.....God only knows what else. BEWARE!!!

I’ve applied serval times I went there they told me it wasn’t a list I’m darker then my sister . She went in and ask and now it’s a list they’re very much racist !!!

Firstly, the presence of old air conditioners poses a significant risk. These outdated units have been known to release harmful toxins into the air, leading to respiratory problems and other detrimental health effects. Breathing in this polluted air on a daily basis can be extremely hazardous, particularly for children who are more vulnerable to such risks.
On top of that, there is a disturbing mold issue throughout the apartments that has caused numerous health problems. Many individuals, including my own children, fell ill due to the pervasive presence of mold. To make matters worse, this problem forced numerous residents to move out due to the persistent growth of mildew and related health concerns.
Despite several formal complaints lodged with the Broward County housing department, the office responsible for the apartments failed to take any action. The inspector visited multiple times and cited the office for violating mold regulations. Shockingly, no efforts were made to rectify the situation, leaving residents in a perpetually unhealthy environment.
As a concerned chef,I implore you not to rent an apartment here. The landlord's negligence towards your well-being is evident by their refusal to address these hazardous conditions. Not only did they disregard the detrimental effects on residents' health, but they also exhibited a lack of compassion by evicting individuals who had lost their jobs during an economic downturn, despite their consistent on-time rent payments. It is clear that this landlord prioritizes profit over the well-being of their tenants.
In my personal experience, I had to constantly bleach the walls and carry out repeated repainting to combat the mold. The carpets were never replaced, and I had to clean them until they were beyond repair. I eventually moved out, but not without a struggle to secure the return of my deposit. Thankfully, I succeeded, but it should not have been such an ordeal.
Even though I left this hazardous environment five years ago, I still suffer from ongoing symptoms related to the mold exposure. This highlights the long-lasting impact that living in such conditions can have on your health.
Please, for the sake of your well-being and that of your loved ones, avoid this location at all costs. It is essential to prioritize your health and safety by finding a residence that does not possess these concerning hazards. Stay vigilant and ensure that your living environment is free from mold and other potential dangers.

Absolutely POSITIVELY THE WORST PLACE TO LIVE! I wanted to read the reviews before I wrote mine to see if people were experiencing the same issue and I AGREE with every bad review because it has also been my experience. From the “feeling” of racism to them taking months of harassment and threats to fix anything! But a soon as rent is late or not paid (I never been late or not paid), I’m speaking generally, here comes the threats and notices on your door. Somehow they can find your apartment then. The front desk staff including maintenance speaks little to no English, the hallways are filthy, they only answer the phone when they feel like it, no security, the gates don’t work, the cameras don’t work, the pool is always unavailable and garbage is left outside side the garbage bins. I believe the standards there are so low because this is an income restricted community and full of minorities and those type of people seem to be the most disrespected. The rent is affordable however, the QUALITY OF LIVING is very poor. I wouldn’t recommend this community to a dog.
