Not only would I not recommend this place to my worst enemy - there is no accountability for REITs owned by a Canadian Corporation doing business with residents in FL. I have lived here 12 years and have typically been ignored for most maintenance requests in a timely manner. But this particular request was made not just twice on the phone, and now twice in person (escalating the issue), it was made on behalf of other tenants that are also affected (see pics). What prompted the 1 star rating, was the 1 star service in rectifying this issue - as it could affect my family legally. My mailbox had been broken for a month and still not fixed. Sending my mail to the P.O. would be a hassle, as I am not available during pick up times due to work. However, before this could be handled and fixed, I got an urgent call that I owed a monthly fee (included in the total rent when I pay) with a late fee added, because "corporate has it in their records" that I had to pay for water services (on the VM message left), that then became a pet fee when I called. Though actually, I had paid my rent a couple months in advance...yet corporate didn't have a record of this? Wow. Like if being responsible with paying rent on time for years (since I moved in) and taking care of the apartment was not good enough. Now resorting to the exhortation of more money due to the incompetence of the local team and/or the corporate is what we deal with. As well as, not handling maintenance requests in a timely manner, per usual.
