I have lived here for almost 1 year. It hasn’t been all bad but it’s hard to find good when dealing with rude people. Maurice has been great with communication. BUT… the lady Susie which I don’t believe is her real name..is extremely rude. She is not professional.. she fail to address any issues. I have attempted to request all documents causing my rent and payments made.. she reads off another’s tenants confidential information.Speaking with other tenants I’m not the only person who is having this problem with her. She has called me numerous times with someone else information and not knowing who she is speaking with. If she cant manage the records then why is she in this position. While on the phone with her she stated she had someone in front of her and was hanging up when she could not address letter of missing payments when I have the receipts. Smh.. I have sent her the emails of my receipt over three times just for her to say it was a mistake.. I would expect her to be professional when addressing issues since Maurice is great. I really don’t write reviews but I’m looking into getting a lawyer due to the constant mismanagement of rental payments. As long as she is employed I will not recommend anyone to this place. Started off great with Nicholas.. ending terrible.. I only have 1 more month to go before NOT renewing my lease and finding another place to stay.

Not only would I not recommend this place to my worst enemy - there is no accountability for REITs owned by a Canadian Corporation doing business with residents in FL. I have lived here 12 years and have typically been ignored for most maintenance requests in a timely manner. But this particular request was made not just twice on the phone, and now twice in person (escalating the issue), it was made on behalf of other tenants that are also affected (see pics). What prompted the 1 star rating, was the 1 star service in rectifying this issue - as it could affect my family legally. My mailbox had been broken for a month and still not fixed. Sending my mail to the P.O. would be a hassle, as I am not available during pick up times due to work. However, before this could be handled and fixed, I got an urgent call that I owed a monthly fee (included in the total rent when I pay) with a late fee added, because "corporate has it in their records" that I had to pay for water services (on the VM message left), that then became a pet fee when I called. Though actually, I had paid my rent a couple months in advance...yet corporate didn't have a record of this? Wow. Like if being responsible with paying rent on time for years (since I moved in) and taking care of the apartment was not good enough. Now resorting to the exhortation of more money due to the incompetence of the local team and/or the corporate is what we deal with. As well as, not handling maintenance requests in a timely manner, per usual.

THE WORST… MANAGEMENT IS REALLY BAD NOW 2023, NEVER HAS BEEN THIS BAD

They are getting there,  "slowly," but they are making gradual needed changes for the better. Tenants need to show more appreciation for their surroundings. Place the garbage 🗑 "inside" the bin to prevent rats and nasty appearance to the place many of us would love to call "home.""
* Respect your neighbors by keeping the noise to a minimum. It's not easy, Maurice & crew...especially when tenants don't respect themselves, their neighbors or the place we live, but keep up the good work so far 👍🏼 it all starts from the top!

This property is under new management and has been making alot of changes in renovations, operations that has made a difference for me as well as other tenants. I can say personally the only negative I can address is the increase of the rent, other than that even the fumigation has shown promise, The new parking system is ok and something to get use to but overall it's a good community with an awesome management and maintenance team, maybe one day we can get Rover. Oh I love the Gym!!! If you see any of my reviews you will know that I deal with facts!

The above was written a year ago but after having my packages stolen from one of the maintenence people and the Maintenence supervisor lying to the police to cover him I have no choice but to lower my rating due to this and my neighbors being robbed as well... watch YouTube,

It was disturbing to hear my neighbors packages has been stolen and come to find out it was happening by one of the maintenance people but also the maintenance manager lied to the police to cover the guy, this sounds like a racket is going on and not where I would want to be.. it's on the news "summerfield apartments  sunrise Florida maintenance thief 2023"

Summerfield Apartments is the place to be! Maurice has been nothing but kind, friendly and welcoming. Thank you for all your help!
