Village Walk at Miramar

I’m fed up with the rules of this place. We bought our townhome on pre construction back in 2014. The parking rules are ridiculous and constantly changing. If your car isn’t under your name , or registered under whoever else lives with you , they can not park in your spot. I had an issue where I had my car in a shop was using my dads car, and because my account was maxed on registering guests vehicles for the rest of the year, they pretty much said there was nothing they could do, unless I had a neighbor nice enough to register me as a guest . Absolutely ridiculous . Not only that but now my homeowners insurance doesn’t want to renew my policy because of the palm tree touching my roof. I reached out to management as this is an urgent matter , their response was that “the HOA has placed landscaping on hold because of budget issues”. They keep raising our HOA fees yet there’s always an issue with their “budget”, I’d like to know where all that money goes, because clearly they haven’t done much, whatever they “start” gets placed on a hold. So what am I supposed to do? Hire someone to cut down these palm trees ? This is unacceptable .

Unfortunately not so pleasant place. Too many stupid rules. It’s not for kids: you only have small, dirty pool in which quite often you can find iguanas. Even you have 2 parking spots you can use them only if the cars are under your name. Guest can park for about 10 days per year. They are waiting to town and fine you for everything. Houses are old and full of cracks so you have to deal with all kind of pests. Definitely to avoid place.

Stay away! I am an owner and currently looking to sell and move somewhere else.  The HOA apparently have more rights than owners do.  They are rude and obnoxious (Skyline...because we keep changing HOAs, I don't know who will be in charge once you read this).  They want to control who comes to visits you and when.  I had an issue where I registered my brother as a guest and they put his car for towing even though the permit was still active.  I will work on meeting with whomever is in charge (I own and have no clue) and see why the HOA is more powerful than the owners and have the audacity to speak to us rudely when it is us who pays their checks.  Oh did I mention we had a murder in the community.  Yeah stay away...some great people live here but stay away and avoid HOA and the parking issue.
