A Short blond haired man at front desk was extremely rude and aggressive while I was there to deliver food to a tenant (Sept 3, 2022 at approx. 1:30 pm est) . He also referred to me as “darling” during our short & unpleasant interaction, which I found extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. It all started when I approached the front of the building’s valet area , which was unattended, and exited my vehicle. I noticed that the building had a locked front door and so I preceded to try to contact my customer via the building’s call box but to no avail. I then messaged my customer via the delivery app to let her know where I was and to inquire about a code for the building. At the exact same time that the customer messaged me the door code, the building’s door was buzzed open, which I assumed my customer had done remotely. Upon entering the building lobby, I messaged my customer , looking down at my phone and walking forward. Suddenly I hear “hey! Excuse me” followed by some sort of whistle type sound made by the front desk man. I then asked him why he was whistling at me. He said “You come in here and walk right past me!” To which I respectfully responded that every building operates differently and that it was my first time delivering to that building. He then responds “no no no they are all the same darling you know that, you know that” …I let him know that I felt that he was being rude and that i did not appreciate being spoken to in an aggressive tone as he went into a short tangent about having to call customers first or else his job is on the line. I also told him that I did not see him , which I did not, as he was sitting behind a raised desk. Long story short, I gave him the unit number for the customer and I was then able to go to deliver the order. He did not apologize for his rude unprofessionalism. I would like my complaint to go on record with building management as I do not think that this man is the type of person that should be working at the front desk of any condominium let alone interfacing with the public. It makes me not want to ever deliver to this building again.
