I live here and I'm moving out in a month so I thought I'd leave a real review. Everyone who lives here knows the deal, its an affordable place and you literally get what you pay for. There are no amenities other then the parking lot and there is ONE WASHER AND ONE DRYER - which is actually always down and doesn't work well. Other then that, they clean the building often but that was before the renovations (which have been on going for months) that they are making to the building in an attempt to not make it a total eye sore (painting the inner walls baby blue?). Mind you, this is a 100 year old building, they cannot make any major changes (its against the city's rules, since its a historical property they cannot change its infrastructure) so they are doing what they can. anyways, this building in theory is cute and has the old charm that you would find in LA but in Miami. I was paying under 2K when I initially moved in here, and for a 2 bedroom in Miami I did not care about anything else other then my actual apartment unit. The bathrooms are old and very outdated. They have been painted over and "repaired" as much as they can but they are literally 50+ year old so its not cute. The building water heater goes out and now since its owned by a bigger management company it takes about a week (without hot water) for it to get back up to speed. This has happened like 2-3 times in the past year. It's a safe building. The area is safe, yes theres homeless people on biscayne but who cares just walk by them.
Theres no washer and dryer that you can rely on so you have to go somewhere else for that.
No gym, no pool, theres a courtyard i guess to smoke and look out at Biscayne. It's def not quite and serene, but i did enjoy the city noise.
Parking is nice to have but in Miami that should be just given.
If you find yourself here, its just because its a steal. But if they decide to try to make you pay 2,500+ for these units (any of them!), it isnt worth it. Literally, you are being finessed. This is an old building and you can find better for your money with amenities. Theres no elevator either.
Location is bomb of course, I wont deny that I rarely drove with wynwood and the beach being so close and a short uber away.
Good luck and I hope you find your way.
