I lived at House 57 Flats for 2 years. It was perfect for me because it was walking distance from the University of Miami and came with free parking (in the Flats) and your own private bathroom. I was the first person to live in my unit and I have personally seen the change in management. Many of the older negative reviews are due to the previous management which is night and day to the current management led by Liz Kenneally. Liz is great and very responsive to your questions and needs. I lived at House 57 so long, Liz was like family haha. Another bright spot of the complex is the Maintenance and Repair crew, specifically Eric. He is the man and super nice. He knows everyone’s name and will fix any problem you have. If you are looking for a quality place close to school, House 57 (and House 57 Flats) is the place for you.
During my time at the Flats, the units included parking (2 spots), WiFi, basic cable through DirectTV in the main room, washer and dryer in the unit, a private bathroom in each room (4 rooms total in each unit), and “rent by room” which means you only needed to worry about your share of rent. I hope this helps!
