Sharing this so that it hopefully helps  ...
Sharing this so that it hopefully helps others by shining light on the current situation in our small but mighty community. As a resident of The New Paseos Castellanos, I have encountered significant challenges with the current management of the homeowners association (HOA), which has impacted my experience and that of my neighbors/other homeowners in the community. Management by an individual party, without the involvement of a professional property management company, has led to concerns regarding transparency, decision-making processes, and the overall governance of the HOA. Many of us feel that this arrangement has limited our voice and participation in matters that directly affect our homes and community life. Please Google our Association president.
Additionally, there are concerns about the approach taken towards homeowners expressing their rights or raising issues, particularly regarding legal intimidation and the threat of being held responsible for legal fees. Such practices can discourage open dialogue and resolution of conflicts in a community-oriented and constructive manner.
For our community to thrive and for homeowners to feel valued and heard, I believe it’s crucial for there to be a shift towards more inclusive, transparent, and professional management of our HOA. This could involve engaging a third-party property management company, establishing clearer communication channels, and adopting a more collaborative approach to resolving disputes and making decisions that affect us all.
It’s my hope that by sharing these concerns, we can work towards positive changes that include finally having a democratically elected board which will benefit all members of The New Paseos Castellanos community.

Dec 7, 2023 It is a wonderful place to live, the neighbors are super friendly. It is super central and well structured. But the worst thing about this condominium is the president who turns it into hell, an arrogant lady, lack of ethics and lack of respect. Even yesterday afternoon he had the audacity to throw objects into my unit because he simply saw them on the wall. The common walkway light on the front of my unit has not turned on for about 4 months and on top of that it has the floor wiring on the outside, representing a danger to children and pets. But she doesn't take care of that, what she is doing is going around the condominium on her tricycle without resolving anything, there is more to do with the garage doors and the visitors than with the condominium repairs. Caution to new homeowners considering this community: the HOA management here leaves much to be desired. I strongly recommend reaching out to current homeowners to get a more complete picture of their experience with the HOA before making your final decision. Buyer beware.

We residents need help. We are being lied to and abused by this association President in power for 20 years and paying herself a salary. We are desperate, our monthly went from $197 to $370 and there is an additional $1,200 being charged to each of the 145 homes in the association. We only see a paper demanding the money but no breakdown or proof from the insurance carrier so we feel taken advantage of. This community has many elderly residents and these amounts are just something most people cannot pay, especially without concrete understanding from insurance. We suspect there has been abuse of power and poor maintenance though the years and the premium went up due to the current state rise but in our case more because of deterioration in our property exteriors. Many roofs are falling, there are pot holes everywhere, no guest parking, pool closed most of the year, pool bathrooms barricaded and drinking fountain disabled, exposed wiring to weather all over property, washed out signs, rotting wood on all buildings, chipped old rotting paint, broken mailboxes and the list goes on. Disturbing smell of cat piss and poop in all grassy areas due to the overwhelming large amount of strays the President and other elderly residents feed but they don’t keep them in their homes, instead they feed cats outside & make them stay there. Cats roam all areas of the property, walk and lay on cars, pee on Amazon packages, barf in people’s front porches and kill small birds in the parking lot leaving the guts and extras exposed and reeking of death. We don’t know what else to do. President assures there is a board but we’ve never met members, gives excuses why they don’t show to meetings. Any small handy man work is given to her personal friend, an old man who can barely stand in the heat. We don’t have monthly meetings only when there are $ increases - we’ve had two during the past year.We are being abused, this person has been running the show and pocketing money without a property management company for two decades. Don’t buy here, I regret that I ever did.

Worst place to live!!!!. Management is Super informal. There are issues with parking; visitors are only allowed to stay max a week with permit, even though most visitors are always empty. There is also a guy that gets paid for calling the towing service if you are parked on the visitors. Also if people are coming to visit make sure they all come in a car because you only get one permit. Really bad!!!
