DO. NOT. LIVE. HERE. This complex is run by the most incompetent group of people I have ever had the displeasure of working with. To start, we were approved by the landlord to move into our unit about 5 day after application. The HOA is entitled to 30 days for approval, but it took them 32 days to get back to us. They held up our approval bc the unit had a satellite dish in the back patio they required the landlord to remove (nothing to do with us, the tenants). When we moved in we discovered every other unit has a satellite dish, which you are legally entitled to in the state of Florida by law. Then we were required to do an “interview” with the HOA, since we were moving from out of state we requested the reasonable accommodation of this being a phone or video call to which we were denied. We were required to fly in from out of state to complete this and if we did not do it on a specific day they would cancel our application after wasting 32 days of our time. We fly in do the interview at the only available time- 4 pm on a Thursday, and then we are given a paper we must bring to the management office to “notarize”(30 min away) and the kicker? The office closes at 4 pm on Thursdays. We would not be let in to the gate without this paper so we had to rearrange our flight out of state to retrieve our belongings to move in. After we moved our flight, got the paper signed on Friday and drove 15 hrs from out of state in our Uhaul (Saturday)we were told we had a few hours to get our belongings and would have to be gone by 6 pm, and not allowed back into the complex on Sundays. We would have been done by then had we not been required to stay an extra day to have a letter “notarized” by the management company. Now this letter was a completely illegal notarization, it was signed as if I -the tenant- was the head of the HOA. My name was no where on this paper and the HOA presidents whose name was on the paper was not present. This is HIGHLY ILLEGAL and completely disregards the intended purpose of notarization in the first place (I reported to the notary board through the governors office as I urge anyone with the same issue to do). As far as the unit itself we had mold issues, leaks, broken appliances and our AC went out in the middle of July for 3 weeks. We finally decided enough was enough and moved out. We had many issues with the gate not letting us in with moving vans bc it was 11am Sunday (perfectly reasonable day to move out) and the next time it was 6:50 pm on Wednesday(we had one table to load and would then be gone). If you are a working professional with a busy schedule they will make it a nightmare to move in/out, we were told to return our already purchased Uhaul and CALL OUT OF WORK in order to move at their specific times. We ended up parking our Uhaul across the street and one by one loaded our large furniture into my crossover vehicle and drove it out of the complex with the hatch open and then loaded into the Uhaul on the side of the busy road- the complex forced us into an extremely dangerous situation just so we could be out on time and not incur any additional fees for not having our belongings moved out on time. The only upside of this complex is the neighbors around us were very kind/courteous and we had no issues other than the landlord/HOA/management/gate. These were our issues and you can see by the loads of other terrible reviews this place is awful. I wish I had read the reviews beforehand and avoided this place like the plague. There are tons of other reasonable places to live, the new place we are in now made moving in/applying a breeze. Again DO NOT LIVE/RENT/BUY HERE!!!!!!
