It's not that great... the front gate never works so you can't even enter your own neighborhood. I had to complain to corporate for the front office to replace my broken gate fob that I paid $100 for. The parking situation is bad. You can't find a spot near your unit if you come home past 6-7pm. And if it's later than that you won't find one at all. Many people park on grass/curbs to be able to go home at night. What if there is a fire and people are all parked in the fire lanes? They care more about making $200.00/month off the garages than providing adequate parking for the vast majority who do not rent a garage. There's also a really bad raccoon problem. They stole all my dog's food the first week I moved in (I’m talking 15-20 pounds of dog food. It was stored in an airtight container on my patio and they took ALL of it in one night, then peed and pooped on my patio before they left. What a lovely housewarming present!). Their excrement can also be found on the overhangs/awnings and stairwells, as well as clogging up the gutters (see photos - I live on the third floor so I can see it all from my balcony). Their footprints are in the breezeways from when they rummage for garbage. Which leads me to the next problem: the valet trash service absolutely sucks. They charge us $25/month for the valet garbage plus a separate $5 “garbage fee.” And the valet doesn’t even do their job! They regularly do not collect the garbage that is left out. They will take my trash but not my neighbors’, or vice versa. This is despite the fact we both put it out on time. Then the raccoons invade the garbage that was left behind. (See pictures.) an elderly man lives below me and I felt so bad for him having to pick up all this garbage strewn across the ground outside his apartment!
To make matters worse, one month after I moved in, they randomly tore down the playground??? They didn't make an announcement or tell residents this would happen, nor provide any information about when and if it would be replaced. It has been 2 months and it’s just sitting empty. Why tear it down just to leave a hole? If I knew about these plans up front, I likely would have chosen to live somewhere else. I have a toddler who was using the playground almost daily until we walked outside one morning and it had simply disappeared. Is our rent not paying for the community amenities? Aren't we entitled to know what the community includes, what we have access to, as well as plans to both remove and/or add amenities? Apparently not. Their response to this review is also ridiculous. I don't need you to placate me. Do better!!
Just to add salt to the wound, they nickel and dime you for everything. $100.00 nonrefundable fee for your gate fob (which as I mentioned above, had to be replaced and I had to email corporate for the front desk to even give me a new one that worked.) $50.00 fee to “set up your utilities account” ??? Seriously? Highway robbery. And of course, the $30/month garbage fees only for them not to provide the service and cause more strife in the process with the raccoon problem.
Not happy with this place and already looking into where I will move once my lease ends.
