I’ve gave Waterford Park Apartments the benefit of the doubt, held my breath and rolled with all the punches for quite some time now and I am sadden to share how unpleasant and discomforting my stay for over a year now has been. Started in a 1/1 moved to a 2\2 recently. My 1/1 experience was amazing. Great neighbors new updated cabinetry, little to no problems until towards the end of the lease my unit experienced a really bad termite infestation in which seemed like I had to pull teeth to get it finally under control. Currently I am in the 2/2 and I am not happy with it. I wish I would’ve stayed in the 1/1 but I needed the extra space. Difficult to believe, a month in and this 2/2 is a downgrade, highly unsatisfactory. Majority of appliances are old and worn. I’m still awaiting a response from the property manager as to if and when the cabinet/vanity in the bathroom will be fixed or replaced. This unit Definitely needs to be renovated and modernized. My move in day was a nightmare. The apartment was in fact not move in ready. It reeked of the previous tenants pets and pet hair all around unit and in the carpet and smoke. Other small things around the unit I had to request to be done swapped and fixed. Thank you to Ana, the assistant manager who helped me and the maintenance team who acted and responded quickly to all my request for the most part. With what could be done, I am overall still not happy with this place. Every other day I’m catching all kinds of bugs/pest around the apartment. Once again I’m experiencing an infestation. I have had the properties pest control come out to “treat” since I’ve moved in to the point I am now scheduled for treatment for the next 4 weeks because of how bad it is. I am now forced to pay out of pocket a 3rd party pest control company because the properties treatment is not working. Understanding the state in which I live, no weather etc. should cause an inside pest infestation this severe. I’ve reached out to Haylee, the property manager on all cases but she’s only so much of help. I live in discomfort everyday and am embarrassed. I’ve never had to experience living in these conditions repeatedly in my life. To add on the community’s front gate is always broken/open. I was under the impression when I first moved to Waterford Park Apartments is was indeed a gated complex with controlled access. Maybe only for a few weeks since I moved here I have seen the gate fixed and actually closed.
