Update: I posted this review four months ...
Update: I posted this review four months ago and I am updating it to mention the broken elevators. The main elevator in the North tower has been broken SEVERAL times in the last two years, often for months at a time. This means residents on that side have to take the service elevator to the garage and then circle back through the garage to get to the lobby. If you want to get your mail, collect a package, or get delivery service (like instacart or doordash) - you have to make this trek and then carry your items back the same way. It is NOT a short distance to have to carry packages. This also means when you have guests, you need to walk to the lobby through the garage in order to let them up to your apartment.
I was told this was “never” an issue when I moved in, so I’d like potential residents to be aware this is absolutely an ongoing issue.

The building is currently going through staff changes and it’s unclear to the residents whether or not there’s a front desk attendee or building security. It’s been unclear which doors require a key fob to enter and how guests, deliveries and safety are being handled.  It was communicated that the building now has “digital access” through the front lobby, but it was not communicated whether or not this entirely replaces front desk staff and security. It appears no one has been at the front desk all week, mail packages are being left on the floor of the mail room, and the front doors are sometimes not locking - leaving the building wide open.
Posting this as a review because emails to management go unanswered, but google reviews get read.

I just moved out after 3 years. Yes, the management has changed too many times. Yes, the garage doors and elevators were designed poorly, requiring lots of fixing and down time. But the current management communicates very well and is doing their best. I can't imagine the issues they have to deal with every day - the residents demand perfection, but in a lot of cases, it's other residents causing the issues. Anyway, the maintenance and cleaning staff are awesome, and views and location are great. On the Miami scale, I've found it to be a very chill and quiet building, and have had some great neighbors over the years.

Jan 2025 Edit: Updating my one star review to four stars because they have really improved in the past couple months. Thanks for this! Since the new management company has taken over, the building has gone downhill fast. Broken elevators, broken security gates, dirty common areas (pool chairs for example), urine in stairwells, etc. Please take better care of your residents. I do not recommend moving here as they charge a ton of money for a building that, while beautiful, is not being properly maintained.

Adela is a great community. Great location and prices aren’t outrageous. Overall I enjoy it. The reason I don’t rate it 5 is that some of the common amenities you have to pay for. You have to rent the party saloon hourly/daily and prices are not cheap. I have been used to pay for cleaning fee in other upscale locations.
What really cheaps it down is having to pay for the grill/BBQ. It’s ridiculous the building has had two brand new grills in the pool area and I have never seen anybody using it. When I talk to neighbors it’s the same feeling. We can’t have one in the balcony (safety reasons, I understand and agree) but the ones offered for the residents have to be paid for. Only complex I experienced this. It’s just accumulating dust at this point. Really sad.
Lastly, gym needs some more leg machines, and more weights rack.
I have lived here for 2 years BTW. Not new resident. If these were to change. I would be much happier and inclined to stay longer.
