Devonaire HC, Devonaire Apartments, Devonaire at Pembroke Pines,

I've lived here a year now and we just re signed lease for another year. Honestly it's not as bad as the previous reviews. My apt is a perfect size for my boyfriend and I. We also have a dog. This community is very dog friendly. Pros: parking, pool, rent less than $2000, 500$ off second rent when first moving in, (at least it was for us not sure about now) key access code given to tour anytime on your own when first moving in, quick response to maintenance needs when requested online (AC broke and they came next day on a Sunday), rent only went up $25 After a year!! , size of apartment is perfect for bf and dog about 750sq feet
Cons: The leasing office only works a few hours in the mornings. They will not answer any phones calls. All needs have to be done by portal online which I've had no problem with, when first moving in no one gave a tour or was ever welcomed in person. Access code was given for tour and then they basically said okay you're all set once approved, Which was fine but seemed a little sketchy at first. Mold does develop on the ceilings easily but we live in FL. That is prone if you're keeping AC above 74 all day. We keep it on 72 and no mold anymore. Also with first complaint of mold growing , maintenance came next day and helped with bleach! A lot of kids living here that litter!!! Or disrespectful adults. That is my biggest complaint because I see literal chipotle bowls, sodas, beer bottles etc thrown in the streets. It's ridiculous. Community was notified and they did state that if they see people littering they will be fined.

Don't jeopardize your health or your sanity by moving into this community. Property manager (Anacelis) is usually non responsive, or if she does decide to reply you, she's usually rude and unprofessional. Units are full of mold and not properly maintained. They literally paint over mold, and the outdated ac units and appliances make it impossible to keep a decent electric bill. Service calls take forever to get handled and once they decide to deal with it,  they just randomly show up without notice. Even then, things are just patched up instead of being properly fixed or replaced. The apartment sizes are nice and with proper upkeep, maintenance and respectful staff that actually care about the tenants, the community would be much better.

It is quiet, it has a little park for the children, it has a swimming pool, a place to have a picnic with awnings for your parties, what I don't like is that the entrance doors are damaged and people from outside the places can enter the pool. To enter, people want you to leave to open the doors for them since they do not have their code.
