It is the 2nd time I have stayed at the hotel but this time I was quite disappointed. Mid-December, pool closed, they never warned that it would not be available (I understand that it is winter for them, but with 26 degrees or more during the day, it is necessary for guests). The smell in the Lobby is terrible, a lot of smell of mold and humidity that they try to hide with perfume and it is not enough. Although the room had an incredible sea view, this time it left a lot to be desired. Also a lot of musty smell that gave me rhinitis, you can't open the window or turn off the air conditioning (under penalty of a fine of $5000), precisely so that humidity doesn't accumulate; The bathroom does not have its own extractor fan, it uses the AA one. The AA is set at 60 F (cold at night especially) and cannot be moved from that temperature. Sleep with the fleece on. The safe was open when we entered, with documents from a previous guest inside. Whoever did the cleaning didn't see that??? That's the problem, he almost didn't do it. Valet parking doesn't help either; The system for leaving and requesting the car is quite complicated, in addition to the time involved in waiting every time you need it (you have to calculate at least 15 minutes more for each movement). Weak this time, if it weren't for the excellent, truly remarkable attention of the morning receptionist (who was also there on 12/31) I would doubt very much whether or not I would return to the hotel. Rooms: Excellent view of the sea and spacious but with a lot of humidity and smell, without the possibility of regulating the temperature of the air conditioning and it does not even have good cleaning (it is charged separately and between guests it seems that it is not done conscientiously)
Nearby activities: Beach, La Gorce Park, Allison Island, Rowing Club,
Walkability: It is on Collins and with access to the beach, excellent location
Food & drinks: There are stores in the Lower Lobby of the hotel
