Finally writing a review because I've had enough. Let me start with the pros: 1.Maintenance is GREAT. They are super prompt and make sure to resolve your issue on the first visit.
2. Leasing office is *typically* very nice with regards to everything except parking - will elaborate in negatives
3. Rent is comparable and even lower than many places in the are for a better location and better amenities.
4. Noise between apartments is minimal. Maybe I am lucky, but I almost never hear neighbors unless they are SCREAMING at each other.
Negatives:
ONE. MAJOR. NEGATIVE. ---------------
Being forced to park a quarter mile away from your unit is UNNACCEPTABLE. If you are assigned to one of the 'front' buildings, parking is IMPOSSIBLE. I have gotten home at 8pm and there is ZERO parking. Tonight I got home at 3am and there was ZERO PARKING. As residents we have stickers that designate us as such, and if we get home and there is no parking available, we are EXPECTED (as stated by the leasing office) to park "elsewhere on the property where there is an open space". If you park near a curb, not blocking anyone, and where they explicitly allowed us to park when they were re-doing the asphalt, YOUR CAR WILL BE BOOTED and you will need to pay 80 dollars to get the boot off. This is ASININE behavior. I went to the leasing office the last time this happened and they told me 'we have 2.7 parking spaces per unit on the property' , the issue is that this is for the entire property, not for each 'section', as the community is CLEARLY divided by two separate gates depending where your unit is. Obviously they do not waive towing fees, but they do not have a 'do not tow list' either. Residents are forced to find parking quite literally- a quarter mile or more away, behind a separate gate, so that they do not get booted.
The solution is simple for this--- Clearly the leasing office either oversold the parking spaces for the 'front' buildings and did not realize they did so, or the community planning failed them and the parking is so skewed 'per unit' as the person at the leasing office told me, that they did everything right and there literally is not enough parking. In either case, if a RESIDENT parks near a curb and is not blocking another vehicle or hydrant, they should NOT BE BOOTED. We all have resident stickers and 'register' vehicles with the community to 'prove' residency. Why are we booting RESIDENT vehicles when clearly there either is not enough parking by design or the leasing office messed up and oversold parking decals??????????
OBVIOUSLY unhappy with the situation here. If this is not resolved in some way I will GLADLY be moving to 'downtown' coral springs apartments which are newly built, are charging LESS, and in a BETTER location, and do not have the coconut creek fire department BLARING sirens at all hours of the night if you are unlucky and face wiles rd. absolutely ridiculous. /end rant
