The place itself is a great place to live; however, some of the people working in administration are very rude—not all of them, but some. Today, I had an interesting experience. My family and I were using the pool facilities for the first time in almost two years when I realized the bathroom was locked. I went to ask for the key, only to find out that the bathrooms were closed. I’ve worked in customer service for many years, and even when we were closed, I always treated clients and customers with respect. However, the staff member I spoke to had a terrible attitude. Even though I apologized when I realized they were closed and assured him I wouldn’t take much time, he responded rudely. He asked, “Are you a resident?”
I honestly wanted to respond sarcastically, saying, “No, I just came from another place to use your restroom,” but I kept my composure and simply answered, “Yes, sir.” He then told me that I should have a key that was supposedly given to residents when they moved in. However, I never received one. I even asked another resident, and they had the same issue, which made me realize he was probably lying.
At this point, I’m just disappointed. Every time I have a problem and go to the office, they never want to help. My take is simple: if you don’t like your job, find something else—don’t take it out on the residents by being rude.
